Source:
flac16/48kHz; Recorded by Sean Weber-Small with Schoeps CMC42s (FOB omnis spaced 8′ with 5′ 11″ mic stands) -> Oade Power Supply -> Panasonic SV-250. Transfer from a DAT clone of Sean’s Master by FOBAUD: Playback on Tascam DA20 -> Roland SRC-2 -> Mac Mini -> Audacity 2.1 -> WAV @48kHz
Notes:
comments: FOBAUD provided the files to me (droncit); I just cut them into tracks using DC10 forensics (beta). There were a couple of instances of very loud sounds for fractions of a second. I decreased the gain on those so that they didn’t determine the overall loudness, then renormalized Set I to -.5dB. Set II didn’t have any spots like that, and was close enough to -.5dB that renormalization wasn’t needed. No other processing done.
