10-15-1981 – Complete Show
Video description:
We went back over this and corrected colors, regraded, I tried to remove as much motion blur as possible withotu the process taking months and I like how this fared better than the 10-16 show even though there’s still plenty of it there. “it is what it is”
Video is now 1080p at 50fps – deinterlaced using motion vectors to get a true progressive work here, converted pixel ratio to 1:1 to display properly on modern displays, noise removal performed on this, upscaled a bit using a model that can look at previous/future frames in the video and do reconstruction of a lot of stuff and enhance textures a little better than before (it’s not perfect yet but it’s getting a lot better, and it’s beyond the methods being used by most people. This is very gpu and cpu intensive and actually does “add back detail that wasn’t there before”) played a lot with selective saturation bumps
There is a laundry list of filters i applied to try to correct various issues in this video. We tagged on a new audio source. Vegas pro with various 3rd party plugins, vapoursynth with a ton of added plugins, resolve, and encoded with hybrid. Video was edited completely in a prores422HQ pipeline to keep it lossless until the final AV1 encode.
All postproduction work on this video was performed by Josh Davis and Christopher Hazard

=====— Previous lineage before our post-production work — ======
Notes, i removed setlists from both audio and video lineages due to the redunanciy with chapters above, I did keep notes intact. All angled bracked used have been replaced with “~” since Youtube doesn’t allow for angled brackets in the description. This is our standard practice.

Enjoy !
Here’s a very nice gift for all of us , Deadheads and Music Lovers.
Those shows from the Grateful Dead are really appreciated by the Deadheads.
The OOPS concerts in Amsterdam are between my all time favorites.
Imagine the Dead playing in a small club in Amsterdam with borrowed instruments!?! Back to Rock’N’Roll and feelings from the early days.
I’d already transferred my first gen. copy of this show and uploaded
many moons ago on EZT and Furthur. For the 25th anniversary of these shows,i asked my friend to dig up his master tapes ! It tooks some time cause he moved to another place and didn’t already open all the music boxes. Now it’s done.I’ve transferred the first show today.
This is a straight transfer from the masters,no dolby or filters or equalization. The material were two professionals studio voice microphones.
One Shure and one Senheiser attached together in “V” on a round battery
and held by hand (heavy !). The recorder was a brand new Marrantz (superscope) lookalike Sony TC-D5. The cassette tapes were TDK-SA90.
