09-19-1987 – Complete Show

This is a full Video AND Audio Remaster of
Grateful Dead – Sept 19 1987 Madison Square Garden

Two existing video sources were used to put together the video, one being a really great AUD (tripod) shot of the band, the other being some semi-rough pro-shot footage of the show that was aired on TV. Attempted to clean it up

The audio source was replaced with Charlie Miller’s 24-bit SBD master of this show.

Both videos were deinterlaced from 480i (29.97fps interlaced) to 480p at 60 frames per second. Tons of editing was done to make a seamless show out of the two video sources, while at 480p and all of the footage was color graded / corrected.

The resulting new video of this show (at 480p60) was then cleaned up a little more, upscaled to 1080p and augmented with existing datasets to help maintain fidelity at a higher resolution. the entire show was re-rendered at 1080p 60fps, and then the soundboard was synched to it.
All work was maintained in 32-bit float environment and lossless through the process (ProRes 422HQ) and the final production encode is x265 at CFR 18
Resulting MKV file with the lossless tracks is 6.22GB and runtime is 2 hours 17 minutes 10 seconds. Any deviation is a fake.
