09-05-1985 – Complete Show

The video might be shot from far away and includes some jerky zoomed-in pans courtesy of the 1985 technology, but it sure is sweet to see the boys in all their glory at Red Rocks. Thank you Andrew Tatkow for capturing this incredible show. And thank you Christopher Hazard for working your magic as you remastered the original.

This is our full remaster of

Grateful Dead
September 5, 1985
Red Rocks Amphitheater
Morrison, CO

Dead were better in colorado than fish … ijs…

Audio notes: This is the same SBD that kevin tobin used in his transfer and audio tracking of this tape was remuxed here — it’s the best soundboard out there. 🙂 No reason to change.
Audio lineage is below.

VIdeo notes: This is pretty cool, Josh did some really good color correction on this and i was able to make it really pop. The rocks are actually red now 😀 and the 60 frames per second is buttery.
I dig it, even though it’s kinda far away

This one gets 4.5 on the video even with the distance IMO
5.0 on the SBD
