With a two decade music career, including a top 10 single, behind him, Vince joined the Dead on September 7, 1990, at Richfield Coliseum. He would remain the band's keyboardist until the end, and was deeply troubled, even unhinged, by Jerry's passing. Even though Vince outlasted the band, it sure seems like he still fell victim to the Dead keyboardist curse. RIP Vince Welnick.
