The Palladium

New York, New York

On the second night of the Palladium run, the boys once again brought it. The first set is just dreamy with a particularly epic Half Step with a ferocious jam at the end, right before the Promised Land rocks it into the break. But it is the second set, beginning with a monster Scarlet> Fire that is the real treat. Halfway through the set, the boys decide to drop the first Stephen of the spring ’77 tour, and what a doozy it is. Sharp and tasty, the Stephen churns along with weight and splendor before dropping into NFA, which is jammed out to the hilt. That NFA transitions into a beautiful Stella that has its own share of tasty runs, along with some real magic from Jerry before they come back around again to Stephen. And the One More Saturday Night they go into after that is just the icing on the cake.

This is a great show. A little slow with the extended breaks. They must have had Donna’s monitors correct, she’s crushing it!
