Jerry and Bobby appeared as guests on David Letterman for the first time – Letterman himself had only been on for a few months at this point – on this evening back in 1982. The show started off with Dave teaching Jerry how to play Proud Mary, and continued in jocular fashion. Bobby is clearly on something, probably psychedelics, and Jerry plays up his faded memories of the sixties for some good humor. The duo also played Deep Elem Blues and Monkey and the Engineer. They would be back on Letterman again in 1987.
