04-03-1968
Winterland Arena
San Francisco, California
This show does not seem to exist in recorded format. There is even some questions about whether the Dead even played on this night. What is known is that this was a benefit fo the employees of KMPX, a San Francisco free form radio station, who had gone out on strike. There were a number of concerts in support of the strikers, including a street show as soon as news broke that the workers went out on strike that some also put the Dead at. On April 3rd, it seems very likely that the Dead played with The Youngbloods, Moby, Electric Flag, and a few other San Francisco-based bands in support of the KMPX employees.
Reports have the setlist as Cryptical> Other One> Cryptical> New Potato Caboose> Born Cross-Eyed, Alligator>Drums> Alligator> Caution.
