Notes:
Final performance of Casey Jones.
The first set SBD source ran from 0.5% to 0.3% fast and was pitch corrected.
Lamarre’s tape brings some very nice lower bass that is virtually absent from the SBD. You can feel the Knick rumbling, especially during the second set (see Estimated). No EQ required for either source.
Some initial SBD mix fluctuations in Hell In A Bucket. The SBD levels were a couple decibels low for over half of the song and were adjusted to compensate for this. The AUD briefly started out very low too and was adjusted to compensate. Subtle changes to the AUD levels were made throughout the show to find the right mix, as usual.
The overall levels were significantly different between the set 1 cassette and the set 2 Dat SBD sources and were adjusted to be more similar, opting for higher levels. There was already significant clipping of the drums during Estimated Prophet and Drums in the original source, particularly in the right channel. The drums are basically what get clipped in other songs from increased levels here, but only slightly and infrequently and it is not an audible issue.
Clicks removed or reduced: 7 in Hell In A Bucket, 1 in Bertha, 4 in Peggy-O, 5 in Queen Jane Approximately, 2 in Broken Arrow, 7 in Loose Lucy, 1 in Cassidy, 1 in Casey Jones, numerous in Eyes Of The World, 2 in Estimated Prophet, 9 in Comes A Time, 3 in Corrina, 1 in All Along The Watchtower, 2 in Days Between. Some static was also removed or reduced in Hell In A Bucket and Bertha. Minor anomalies remain throughout the show.
There are very faint “flicking” sounds during parts of the second set, particularly during Eyes Of The World, that are part of the SBD recording (also on the official release). I was able to clean up a bunch of this.
