This is one of the last shows with Bruce as a regular member of the band. And on this night, he reminds us why he was such an integral component during his short stint with the boys. With his grand piano right next to Jerry, Bruce sets off Garcia’s incredible guitar work and often pushes Jerry to new heights. But this show is excellent not just for the interplay between the two. It also has an amazing first set, opening with Touch and sliding through a few wonderful tunes before finishing off with a sweet trifecta of Row Jimmy, Picasso Moon, and Deal. The second set fires right out of the gate with an Eyes> Corrina opener and continues on from there before the entire show culminates with a lovely Brokedown encore.
