Fillmore West

San Francisco, California

There are some tasty little treats in this show. First off, Jerry starts off on pedal steel guitar for the first three tunes – Green Grass of Home, Sawmill, and Seasons – which are all rarities in their own right. From there it is really hard to say a bad thing about the show. Highlights abound, but the Uncle John’s Band that scorches right into a stellar Black Peter should not be missed.

Garcia plays steel guitar on the first three songs. This is all that is known to have been played from this show according to Deadbase and Deadlists, though there may be over a half-hour of music missing.

    Great show.

The Hanno version is the only one to include “Hard To Handle” out of the recordings available, albeit from an Aud source.

Just a ‘Heads Up’ (Pun intended 😜)
